About
About Smart Observer
Smart Observer publishes plain-English articles about everyday money, work and side income.
What we publish
Our articles look at practical ways people try to manage higher living costs and earn a little extra on the side, from working from home to getting paid for small online tasks. For each option we try to explain how it works, what it asks of you and where its limits are, in language that does not need a finance degree.
Who publishes it
Smart Observer is published by MEDIA MONZA LIMITED, a company with its registered office in England (company number 16337733). The company details are printed in the footer of every page, the way a newspaper prints its imprint.
How we write
- We describe providers using details they publish on their own websites, and we say so plainly when something is a limit rather than a feature.
- We do not invent readers, reviews, ratings or people.
- We keep talk about income modest: no promises and no get-rich framing.
- We point readers to the provider’s own site for sign-up instead of collecting details ourselves.
Sponsored articles
Some articles, such as our piece on testing websites and apps from home, are advertorials. They carry an “Advertorial” label in the masthead and link out to the provider’s own sign-up page. How that arrangement works is set out on the affiliate disclosure page.
